Compound i started a thread " that smell" and on this site two posters understood and shared how to that song the writter of that song transformed there lifes..ok what i am saying is from that thread i learnt words have a beautiful power . The same grop wrote a song called " white Dove" It was for me a beautiful song that reached peoples hearts. more important to me was the writter credited with those lyrics never wrote them..his grand daddy did.

The song was White Dove...now when i listen to that song it momes me as i have learnt there was a group of kids thst called themselfs " White Dove" they used powerful words to deliver there message..they were young and idialistic, and beheaded.

Why? writting is a " lonely and courageouse profession" these kids used words not violence to fight Hitler...they must have felt so alone as they were beheaded on a guilitine...but words even in war can be beautiful and have power...I am very ASHAMED i distributed the watchtower words...and so writting is a lonely life if you write by words of hate. Words from a good heart are never lonely...

My Judicial Meeting was 6 WEEKS ago! Help me with a question.

my judicial meeting was 6 weeks or more ago, and still no action.

i used a lawyer and a letter to them after i had already met with them and admitted everything.

the crazy part was they didn't tell me that night if i was df or not.

I was always afraid of a judical meeting when i left. Not that i would have attended it but i was sensitive to being disfellowshipped. Anyway it neverm happened and as times passed i have used aggresive language when they have phoned or knocked on the door...not rude language but the elders got the message. Its so pathetic i wear a cross that my son bought me ( he was 8 ) and simply bought it for the beads on the necklace...but it is a new age cross and elders have seen this around my neck, but not in twos..i think they thing why bother, Mike doesnt bother us and who needs the agrivation we have our power bullying those within.

Do you pray over your meals? If so why? If not, when did you stop and why?

to answer my question, no i do not pray over meals anymore exept for when i am with other jws i do a 15 second head bow for appearances sake.

i just came to the realization god had nothing to do with whether i ate or not.

many believers are starving right now whilst many non-believers are eating like kings.. also why should god give me food while he lets little children in dprk concentration camps starve to death.

Havnt read this long thread, but i must say i always hated having witness guests around for a meal and having to pray....i never belived they did it with every meal and as for me i thought i should be praying to my government...the very government if i voted i would want out of power. I am glad now i dont play those games.

i read it over 20 years ago.

now i am reading it from a completely different perspective.

as a former window cleaner i can say:-.

a. i started my self employment at 17.. b. i built the round with my own initiative.. c. i was soon making 4 times the average hourly wage.. d. i was afraid of heights, but as the round grew i employed 2 people.. e. it exspanded to gardening painting and decorating ect, ect,.

New York...it was no big deal... owning a Real Estate agency, in England requires no qualifications...just self drive and determination along with a pleasent disposition. Ok thats not true...it required people choosing ME to sell there home and not a competitor. Same skills as window cleaning or being good on the ministry....except i had an advantage over my competitors, i was working for me and not employed...i guess that is self drive and determination...but i saw it as fun.

I love the self help books...800 pages of words, but they do contain a few lines of origional thought provoking wisdom....and pages of yatta yatta yatta...........and may i add Yatta. A bit like the W.T literature..

In Linköping we have a group of beggers from lithuania, or some place...my little boy of nine never spends money.... last month it was snowing this girl was sitting outside the shop, so cold and i thought so fragile, as the snow fell, i asked Orlando do you want to buy sweets or give the money to her. He gave to her...a few weeks later same question and he bought sweets. I asked WHY? Orlando said he saw her once get in to a car and drive away....

Yes charity, and emotions its a sad world seeing where the money goes...its sad even charity shops the big percentage go to the Directors,not the needy...uggggg

Bemused, i new ex- director of a company, lives in a detached house and no mortgage in a very affluent area. He took early retirment to start a gardening round....why? i guess he liked gardening and talking with his customers...I always liked this man, he sent his son to private school and his son didnt take to it...his son turned out to be gay. ( nothing wrong with that) but this man i know found his son sexuality something he didnt exspect...He loves hos son and his sons boyfriend....i think education is great if you use it to stand by your principlas....and i think real happiness comes from within.

I agree bemused, but qualifications and responsibility. Now take a G.P doctor, and a patient who has depression. Does the doctor decide if a patient is depressed based on his knowlege or how the government decides. Its all statistics like if i take a driving test, the tester knows he has a statistic of those he passes and fails, he works withon those guidelines. My point is critical thinking is compromised by power.

If i want to take a loan from the bank to buy a house with 80% deposit i cant get the loan. Why? The bank manager will say its not a safe investment. But they will give a mortgage with a 10% deposit. Why ? with the loan they make no interst in comparrison with selling a mortgage. Does this make the bank manager a man you respect, or a man who like elders puts self interst and survival above what he knows is right?

My point is when i got my own estate agency i was less of a man in terms of morals and compassion than when i cleaned windows. I think if we live in a world with a class system, and all organisations have class systems, it is then we compromise our ethical and moral standards to climb the ladder.

Thats why i love Art and Music and creativity, its worth more than cars,play stations and ego.
